That's a good point.  We have not yet run into it, but there is just a
lot more we can do with SQL.  How have you found the performance with VB
and ADO?

I don't know if this applies to VARPG, or whether you've already noticed
it,
but when using VB with ADO, we chose SQL over record-level access
because
the error message would give constraint names. By using very long
description constraint names it became relatively easy to figure out
what
the error was talking about.
