Spam is made in Austin, MN at the Hormel plant. The nickname of the city is "Spam Town". It is 10 miles north of the IA/MN border. Justin C. It's about 5 miles East of the Miller Brewery. It's about 3 blocks from the north end of the Summerfest grounds on the lakefront, and where I'll be several days next week :-) Escaping the 100 degree heat of Las Vegas for the 100% humidity of Milwaukee around the 4th of July. Fortunately, there will be plenty of Miller beer, Johnsonville brats, Kopp's frozen custard and OFF! to sustain me. To find out what makes one heck of a party see: www.summerfest.com Pardon the digression but 411 E Wisconsin is the address on a lot of direct marketing from IBM, email and snail mail. Seems to be there 'spam' center. Should have been Iowa, no? If they're overwhelmed, then it truley is futile and they never learn from their mistakes. > As far as the ads, I just look at it the same way I look at > commercials on > TV. A necessary evil, in order for the thing to be "free". Yes, but at least advertise for WebSphere or something more iSeries related. > > Couple other things I noticed: You can opt out of the list by writing > Milwaukee, WI... Milwaukee?!? Is that another hot-bed of > iSeries activity? > Just seemed funny... They moved the HQ for iNation right next to the Miller brewery. They'll need as much High Life as they can get. And the smell of brewing hops in Downtown Milwaukee is something to write home about! High Life right from the plant is like nectar. Mmmm....... I miss Milwaukee (pronounced Milay-wah-kay according to Alice Cooper<bg>).
