Well there is no permissions tab for printer under Netserver. Printers do
not show up under file shares, so it must use native AS400 object authority.
Does your guest profile have authority to the printer and out queue and the
print file specified under the printer properties tab in Netserver?

Start with: Ops Nav - Network - Servers - TCP/IP - Netserver
Select your printer and check the properties. This is where you configure
the outq and optional print file to use.

Subject: Netserver print share

Hello all,

here is the situation: I configured Netserver on my AS/400 (V4R4). I used a
gest profil. This way I can access the IFS no problem. After that I created
a share for a printer. But when I install the printer on my PC and tell it
to use the share, I get the message that the printer is not available and
that printing will be done off line. This printer works well when we access
it from the AS/400. I think I must be missing something in netserver.

Any sugestion??
