...I completely agree. This is the one area where character-mode apps
are king. Put a keyboard-condom on the terminal's keyboard and stick it
in the middle of the assembly line floor. 
By the way, you should see how long those Windows-based shop floor PC's
last that the pin-heads at Ford's IT Dept. put in place. Grease up the
mouse a bit, will you buddy. :)
