I have the 5363 manual too,
This 5362 doesn't have an external drive. I suspected a disk problem too.
 It has 2 x 30MB drives.
The main purpose in life for this 5362 is to serve as a printer stand for
a laserprinter, but I was hoping to keep it running as long as possible.
I guess it's reached the point where it can only continue it's printer
stand duties ! ;-)

Neil,

I happen to have a copy of 5363 System Unit SRC manual SY31-9055-4

It appears to be outdated since neither of these codes are listed. Or,
since you are dealing with a 5362 it may be referring to the external
drives that the 5363 did not have.

But, it does seem that any 19xx codes are hard drive related.
For example, (this does not sound good) 1902 is an unrecoverable disk
error and the next entry in my manual is 190E and it states Permanent
ECC check.

SRC 1925 says Unrecoverable Drive D error. Then the manual jumps to
1931 which says Unrecoverable Drive error. Replace Data storage Adapter
and Disk Adapter cards first.

Now what was that thread about when someone becomes obsolete? I guess
the answer is when you quit working as expected. ;-)
