Hi,

Been there, done that, bought the tee-shirt.

IBM really didn't think this one out.

The bottom line is that your old password is QSECOFR (or whatever) in upper
case, and the new field is case sensitive.  IPL to OS/400, and run the
CHGDSTPWD command which will change that password back, and reenable the
profile.  CHGDSTPWD make no mention that it covers SST too, but it does.

Hi,

We installed operation console on a directly attatched
PC to AS/400 box (V5R1), we can get the login screen,
but when we tried login as QSECOFR (password:
QSECOFR), the first time, we got the error: the
password is wrong, when tried the third time, we got
the error: your profile is disabled.

Want help with this. Thanks a lot!
