Rizwan,

I didn't know you could use the cpytostmf cmd either. I tried it, and the
data is corrupt. Do you need to specify something special on the command?
I use the RST command.

To set up my test, I did this:
SAV DEV('/qsys.lib/qtemp.lib/phil.file') OBJ(('/test.html'))

Then I did this:
 > CPYTOSTMF FROMMBR('/qsys.lib/qtemp.lib/phil.file') TOSTMF 'test.html')
and the data was screwy. Do I need to do something different here?

Then I did this (which is how I normally do it):

 > RST DEV('/qsys.lib/qtemp.lib/phil.file') OBJ(('test.html'))
and the data was correct.

I figured it out myself.I had to use cpytostmf.I used this command numerous
times but haven’t noticed that savf (LL) could also be used to copy to the
IFS.
