You could try creating a remote outq;
CRTOUTQ (MYLIB/MYOUTQ)

CNNTYPE(*IP)
DESTYPE(*OTHER)
TRANSFORM(*YES)
MFRTYPMDL(*IBM4332)
WSCST(er you'll have to find this out for yourself!)
INTNETADR(what ever IP address you set your printer)
DESTOPT('XAUTOQ XAIX')

You may have to create a 'dummy' devd for query which looks for devices not queues.
You would use the STRRMTWTR command to start the writer, not STRPRTWTR.
