Glenn,
Can you do the following:
- write down the IP address of the UK machine
- from a 5250 session on the UK machine execute the following
= CALL QCMD
= PING 'xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx' where xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx is the address of the UK
machine
We are going to crawl before we walk so respond quickly - (I'll be out this
afternoon).

Apparently my problem is more how to set up tcp/ip on the AS/400 in the UK
than
using FTP. I didn't know SNADS could be rum over TCP/IP. Even so, I still
have
the same problem. I have an address set up for the AS/400 in the US and we
can
access it over the internet. I have even used FTP from a PC to transfer
data to
the '400. But I am having trouble setting up TCP/IP on the '400 in the UK.
It
is a model 200 CISC machine running V3R2. It does have TCP/IP capability,
I
have set up an IP address on it but I have not been able to get the two
machines
to communicate using the IP addresses.

Hello,
if you only need to connect to another AS/400, I'd stick with SNADS! You
can
run SNADS over TCP/IP -much more
reliable than FTP, IMHO.
