Roger,

        If the "Modem" card in the Sonic wall supports the PPPoE or PPPoA
protocol from your ISP than using it as the interface point is fine. If you
suspect a support desk or protocol issue could be in your future than put
something like a LINKSYS or SPEEDSTREAM between the ISP and the SONIC WALL.
This will also give you a public segment that you could drop other things on
as well.
