A rclstg on our system takes about 37 hours. One thing > I am now thinking about doing is reinstalling the OS as I think perhaps that > part of it may have become corrupt ? You probably already have a good idea about how to prepare your backups, etc., so I can ignore that. And a re-install of OS/400 isn't much different from a release upgrade, so I won't go into that either -- the manual says more than I can. A couple things I'm curious about though... You say "a very high amount..."... Is that hundreds? more than a couple? a dozen? And what kinds of objects? Device descriptions? Database members? Are they random types or are they from particular groups of types? It's possible that the answers will lead to further questions. I've seen some specific situations that *might* match.
