Sorry to bust your bubble, but I've got an open PMR with IBM concerning the
ability to backup an integrated Netfinity server to the AS/400 tape drive at
an object level, enabling the ability to restore individual objects.
Currently we must use a PC based product. This don't work at V5R1 - thus
the PMR. However, guess what the work around is. Set your QUTCOFFSET to
zero. Go figure. PTF due late this week.

When creating a new command for DST (http://hkrebs.dk/adkdst.html) I scanned
the documentation about QUTCOFFSET. I found that
OS/400 uses this to nothing at all, except that it's an attribute of the
system reported e.g. when sending alerts. Does the ftp
protocol at all care about other attributes than file name (which is needed
as a part of the 'address')?

Main purpose of QUTCOFFSET is (as I understand it) for user applications.
