This is a multi-part message in MIME format. -- [ Picked text/plain from multipart/alternative ] With all due respect Steve (and Steven), you are out of line here. David makes the rules, and when you signed up, you agreed to them. David was gracious enough to allow a day's worth of venting and information sharing about this tragedy. He has now, within his every right and to my expectations, put an end to that discussion. This _is_ a technical list. If you don't feel all that technical right now, then STAY OUT! I tried, politely, to point people over to the MIDRANGE-NONTECH list yesterday, which in some people's eyes may be not much better a solution, but it's a whole lot better than using the technical list to express the emotions that _everyone_ is going through right now. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to join this relatively new list. If you were not *directly* affected by this tragedy, yesterday was basically a wasted day as far as getting work done. I don't know about your bosses, but mine and I'm sure many others are expecting that we start to get back into the swing of things. My project deadline did not go away, it's still coming up this Friday. I am suffering through this event as much as many of you are. I have a six-year old daughter wondering out loud last night what her life is going to be like in twenty years! We have a close friend in the reserves now serving a stint in Saudi Arabia which, admittedly, is probably the safest place in the mideast right now, but still.
