Good morning Dahkow. It sounds like a LANGID / CCSID parameter when
submitting job.

Oggetto: Re: SDNM utility fails when submitted in batch

Following a suggestion from this list, we have downloaded the excellent
SNDM utility ( http://homepage1.nifty.com/uzaemon/#download ).

Directly calling this program from a CL with the appropriate parameters
works fine but submitting it in batch from that same CL using SBMJOB gives
rise to an error:

Message . . . . : Command failed. reason -135 invalid character found in
  mail address description (FROM-[MYNAME
  DAHKOW@IBL.INTNET.MU])

The sequence of operations is as follows:
CL1 -> submit a job that calls CL2 that runs the SNDM utility. This fails
with the above msg

However the following works fine:
CL1 -> calls CL2 that runs the SNDM utility. This runs successfully

Has anyone used this utility and run through the same problem?

Regards
