Thanks Kirk, A normal IPL cleared the SRC error The message went away-after I did pwrdwnsys *immed and turned the powerswitch off and changed outlets--it has turned out to be a dodgy outlet as I tried a PC in there and the power cut out in a small flick enought to kill windows I guess I was lucky that the AS/400 reg can withstand that sort of thing happening.
