Hi, On this Saturday when I'm trying to get ready for COMMON.

AS/400 feature codes are an IBM state secret. In truth, they screwed up
the system value QPRCFEAT, because they knew that multiple interactive
features were coming. (The fact of the matter is that I had asked for
this system value, but they didn't fully square with me on the truth.) I
would have made it a system value retrievable in multiple lengths (like
QTIME).

The following table appears in my COMMON Session, "Everything You Always
Wanted to Know About System Values (but were afraid to ask)". To my
knowledge, it is the only place where this information can be obtained
easily in one place. I tried to "cut and paste it in", but the formatting
in M$Word would not allow it, so I created a .PDF which I zipped.

(See attached file: Qprcfeat for midrange-l.zip)

To make matters worse, I expect that multiple levels of data base
capability will be offered in a future release. (I have no advanced
knowledge of this that I have not derived by myself.) In V5R1, take a look
at assistance level 3 in WRK/DSPSYSSTS:

I was told that a 730 (2065-1506) shows a feature code
in the configuration list of 2A6A. Does anybody know how
the original processor number and interactive feature code
map into the code shown by SST. Evidently 2065-1506 -> 2A6A,
but what about the rest? is there an algorithm for the mapping?
