Deleting attachments

Dave, Is it possible that you could review your prohibition on attached
files?
Maybe put a size limit on rather than just deleting them.
The Feature code list from Al Barsa is a good example of a file
that would have benefited people (certainly me). Now, I know a lot of
the arguments against attachments: dangerous, too big, advertisement,
etc, but is it possible to just exert some common sense before
deleting them?
