John has got right to the essence of this debate. It's nothing to do with
which interface is "better" - they're both damn good, but they have very
different orientations - it's just xenophobia.

Looking at all this UNIX stuff in midrange-l I can see how wonderful it
would be to work with once you had got used to it. And I will get used to
it, and probably grow to love it. For the moment, however, it feels as
though some joker has been sprinkling salt into the sugar bowl.
