Ok, here's the deal on this one.... 1. Client Requirements - must select Auto-signon box in 5250 signon. If Auto-signon is NOT SELECTED, then no profile is returned. 2. Host Requirements Must prohibit signon unless Auto-signon is set Must force device name in the "parm area" 3. Possible Problems - I couldn't validate printer selection. regarding "parm area" - I haven't dont this part personally. Hope this helps (a bit). Steve Glanstein mic@aloha.com [ Picked text/plain from multipart/alternative ] I have a client that wants to have device names (TN5250) follow some of his= users. E.g. "Joe" will work at various PC's from day to day. When "Joe" = signs on at PC A he should get the same device as when he signed on at PC B= yesterday. I am familiar with the telnet initialization exit point, but when it execut= es no user info has been collected. Does any one have any ideas on how thi= s might be accomplished? Thanks!
