Dear Fiona, Since the interactive PRTDOC command works OK but the CL call for it does not, I was wondering whether your developer had verified whether the library list of the CL command included all the libraries that are given to your interactive users? The reason that I mention this is that the error message you posted mentions an attempt to call the routine OUTFILE(*LIBL/SPLWRD). If the library lists between the CL and the interactive sessions are different, the problem could be that the system was unable to locate SPLWRD thus causing the error that you are seeing. According to IBM documentation, OFC980E means there was an error converting the document. Just a guess... We're at V4R5M0 & IBM now accept the problem is an OS/400 issue - as PRTDOC is still shipped as part of V5R1, they have to support it. <g> I'm sending them the joblog so time will tell. It's hard to believe that no one else had ever had this error. Fiona
