I originally started using version 2 of their software when they were Premenos, and I loved it. When Harbinger took over, the software remained stable -- though the tech support was pointless! (If the problem was serious enough that I couldn't figure it out myself, their tech support wouldn't figure it out either! Usually took a month or so before they'd get a programmer involved and finally get things worked out) Now, with Peregrine and eV5, I have little that's nice to say about them. I hate the visual mapper -- it's not at _all_ easier than the green screen version. But it's much slower, much much MUCH more difficult to get it installed and working. And it's flaky. I don't run Windows, either, so the fact that the visual mapper requires Windows means that I have to go to someone else's desk to set up maps. (That wasn't a problem with the green-screen version!) It's very unfortunate. I sincerely hope that these are merely growing pains of theirs and that things will improve...
