I probably missed the part about tcp/ip.... I'm not sure how far back DDM really goes. I was trying to remember if I fooled around with that back in the S/34 days, but I just don't recall. I do recall a DDM product for the pc's and I believe that MVS also supported DDM. Source and target are the only terms I have ever used, but IBM has a way of coming up with new terms for older products. I'm still continue to be surprised at how they make tcp/ip sound like the newest and greatest thing since sliced loaf bread. I'm sure all the guys that worked on that at Xerox get a huge laugh when they see it mentioned in the press. Of course most of those people are dead or retired.
