Yeah but how do you get the big variable name to appear in the indicator

I'm a recent convert to the indara keyword.  It doesn't eliminate the
indicators in the dds, but it makes the program side a lot easier to deal
with.  You can pretend they're logical variables that control properties of
the display.  Some people might say it's syntactic sugar. <g>
