Thanks for your help, Rich. I'm a little confused -- I guess the PTF numbers would help. I'm on V4R5. CPYTOIMPF doesn't have a STMFCODPAG parameter, but CPYTOSTMF does. I guess you're saying that the PTF adds the STMFCODPAG parameter to the CPYTOIMPF command. I'm not sure what CHGDMDDFT is, unless it's a parm on a later version of the command. I've scanned the iSeries support site and have not been able to find the PTF's. If you know the PTF it would be a huge help. Much thanks... -Jim -----Original Message----- From: rich herdman [mailto:rherdman@columbus.rr.com] Sent: Monday, November 26, 2001 4:23 PM To: midrange-l@midrange.com Subject: Re: CPYTOIMPF and ASCII Are you running V5R1 or an earlier version? To fix this takes a PTF on V4R4 or V4R5, but is standard on V5R1. There is a parm called STMFCODPAG which lets you specify the code page of the *IFS file you want to create. You can specifiy *PCASCII, *STDASCII, or various other options. We download several files for import into Foxpro DOS, and we have to do a CHGDMDDFT on the CPYTOIMPF command every time we upgrade to specify STMFCODPAG(*PCASCII) for all to come out in ASCII. Let me know if you need those PTF's or if you have any other questions.
