Watch for the C compiler to require PASE before long also and lots of other stuff too. DDNS already requires it. Just another example of cost-cutting rationale at IBM. If they can run AIX compilers on OS/400 they reduce the number of different compilers they have to support. Eventually the AS/400 development environment will be either completely Unix-like or require a Winshit OS, neither of which is a good alternative to a native development environment.
