Yes, at V5R1 multiples are allowed with many warnings about doing that.  If
your design is simply to track DataBase activity:

Make your trigger program a CL program that simply forwards the before and
after buffers to a data queue.  Use another batch process to read the data
queue entries and perform any logic, etc.

One big advantage is there is no logic in the trigger program itself and
thus would rarely if ever need changing.
