Correct, it makes use of the PC "Host" table.
The Hostess software provides you with a list of
addresses to block with your host file and the interface
to maintain the Host table with. This can also be used to
block unwanted websites from invading your home...
Your spouse and kids will never figure it out.   ;)
You can just mumble something about the ISP must have
that p0rn site blocked or the server must be down.  hehehe
I also like that fact that the little banner Ads and
some Ad frames come up empty...

Mozilla and the latest Netscape browser block them as well.  I don't know
about gestures.  All these browsers sure make surfing more enjoyable - I
can choose one that fits my tastes.
