Hi,

>I'd almost swear that somewhere 5-10 years ago, there was the beginning of
a 'standard' for >.sigs that said something like "a line containing only two
dashes followed by a space, e.g., >'-- ', would mark the beginning of a .sig
attachment. This will allow replies to remove such >

this is widely used in the Usenet newsgroups nowadays. Unfortunately,
Outlook doesn't recognize this standard - it skips
the space after the two dashes. Other newsreader can highlight the signature
or skip it..

Regards,

Oliver
