That's an example of a possible place. I don't know exactly what ODBC driver 
might be installed, what ODBC administrator is used, etc., etc., for your

Now, if the application uses fully qualified references, then any library list 
manipulation is moot. I suspect the only way you'll know for certain is via 
testing. No access to source, right? There are other ways of doing ODBC 
overrides, but your stated requirement was that it be external to the 
application. If we can't get inside, the library list is the low-hanging fruit.

I imagine the worst that could happen is that the library list change would be 
ignored due to qualified references. At least it's relatively risk-free with 
minimal effort.

BTW, does the application connect with its own internal profile or does it use 
the PC user's profile?
