  This is how we have all of our HP's attatched to the LAN and the 400.
Everything seems to work just fine.

oh my gosh, that is just not a choice for us.  Normal LPT1-connected
printers work just fine.  Changing the printer files would be a nightmare of
confusion.  We have to find a way to make local printers and network
printers behave in the same manner.

Use an OVRPRTF on the spoolfile to change the font size or paper size or
whatever.
That should help out....that's what I do.

We've configured an AS/400 printer device to be a LAN-connected printer.
The actual printer is a HP Laserjet 4M with a network card and IP address
(no local PC connection).

We can not get the print to be condensed, nor does COR work, on letter-size
paper. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
