Jill,

One of the real beauties of the AS/400 is its consistent command naming
structure. Most of the commands are named in nice 3 characters
abbreviations that are generally intuitive and frequently "guessable" (if
that is a word). If you think of something you want to do, like say "I'd
like to save a library", you might be able to guess that the command for it
is "SAVLIB". "DSP" for Display, "OBJ" for Object, "CRT" for Create, "CHG"
for Change .... well, you get the picture.

Take a stab at guessing at a command or two, but remember to prompt for the
command by pressing F4. Then position the cursor on the Command's Title
and press F1. Voila, command help text!

Another goodie is to bring up a list of commands that can be chosen from a
menu:

GO CMDDSP (a list of all "DSP" commands is presented)
GO CMDOUTQ (a list of Output Queue commands is presented)
etc.

Enjoy! Bill
