Then you *cannot* use the Samba source code in your non-GPL project.  If
all you produce is code and you want to sell, please do so.  But you
cannot use GPL licensed code in your software.

If you don't contribute your work to the Samba project than you cannot
make any kind of Samba based product.  An iSeries port of Samba cannot
happen that is not also under the GPL.  Of course you can do all the work
the Samba team has already done over again by yourself.
