A client of mine has been trying to choose an AS/400 fax service that
provides automatic faxing and e-mail capabilities. The 3 companies in the
running are Quadrant, CornerStone and FaxStar...all meeting basic
requirements. Problem is, the maintenance options on Quadrant and
Cornerstone are relatively absurd (unbending, way expensive, limited yearly
deals) while FaxStars is far more affordable and practical.

We have demo'ed Cornerstone with form overlay software and it looks great.
We haven't had a chance to demo FaxStar but how bad can it be compared to
the others? Maybe the hardware casing isn't so pretty (it's a bloody PC, who
cares) and maybe there is slight differences in the software functionality
but they all fax and e-mail equivalently.

My question is: if you can save up to $1400.00 a year in maintenance, is
there anyone who can provide a reason NOT to choose FaxStar based on the
absence of specific software or hardware functionalities?

Thanks to all and Happy Holidays!

Rick Rayburn
