The severe line you mention is a key point in the debate about iSeries
vs. The World.  The folks at M$ are pushing hard to make the desktop
(i.e. Browser, 5250, Terminal Server/Citrix) synonymous with back end
processing and business workflow.  As you have pointed out so well,
different skill sets are needed to create that "User Friendly" thin
client as compared to creating code to track the money or orders or
merchandise.

So, I wonder, is the Web browser, with all the sensatory enhancements,
the best client for the iServer?  I'm thinking so.  It can provide the
centralize control of information while maintaining many freedoms for
the users.
