Query/400 will not work on DDM files.
SQL will work if you do a CONNECT TO first, and if you did WRKRDBDIRE and
set that up first. But connecting to do joins has me concerned. I assume
you mean filea is on one system and fileb is on another and you want to
join them together.
I don't use OPNQRYF. With any luck it won't, instead encouraging you to
use SQL.

Are there any limitations of creating queries between /400
systems? Implementing joins come to mind. Is a DDM file the best way to
implement it? Are there any capability differences in this regard between
Query/400, SQL and OPNQRYF? TIA.
