We here at CMI have created an ActiveX set of objects and spoolfiles are
one of the supported objects. I believe IBM also delivers a similar
solution although I'm not familiar with that product. Information for ours
and code samples can be found at http://www.cm-inc.com/AS400ole/

I checked the archive, but I didn't see what I was looking for.

I know you can use Operations Navigator to open a print queue and pull
spool
files off and you can save them as text files on a pc.

When playing with the VB tool kit, I didn't manage to see a way to do this
through code. Does anyone have any examples? Even to the extreme of if I
have an outqueue name I can get a list of all the spool files sitting
there.

I can download normal files off the AS/400 no problem, but SPOOL files are
a
different beast.

Is this possible through java also?
