Yes, you are referring to scheduling.  Multi-CPU systems gain benefit
because more processes can be scheduled at once.  Like applications and
database both executing simultaneously.  No threading necessary for that.

I believe this is not true on other systems.  On linux I think you can say
"run this process only on processor 1".  You might be able to do the same
on NT.
