if you can find an older redbook cd (because ibm removed this redbook from
the web
(without replacing it with a new version(that i can find))
Structured Query Language/400: A Guide for Implementation OS/400
Version 2 Release 1.1 - GG24-3321-02

I know it sounds ancient, but years ago it is how I learned how to combine
rpg & sql,
and I have yet to see anyone explain it better. Includes a working sample
program in
rpg, cobol, pl/1, c/400, and fortran - take your pick.
