Rob,
That's the right link.
Basically, TwiNet is a box that can replicate Dumb Terminal functions to
your LAN.
You have to install a Client (windows 32-bit) software on the PC you want to
use.
Launch the application and you will have a 3477-FC terminal emulation
running.
If you want, you can configure up to 7 sessions (Twinax addresses from 0 to
6) or just 1 session (address 0) for the System console (of course you have
to connect the box to the AS/400 Port 0).
Setting up the box is very easy (from the browser) and the Client software
(the 5250 emulation) is stable and works well.

Franco,
Were you talking about the following:
http://www.twindata.com/compumaster/twinet-mscs.htm
Sounds like an interesting product. Have you had experience getting their
software up running? I can see where this would have SOME of the features
of Op's Console but not all - like seeing the SRC codes.

It might be of your interested knowing that there is an alternative to the
Dumb terminal as System Console.
If you wish, you can check it at www.twindata.com and look for TwiNet.

Hello Pat,

Very funny. As long as they keep making a twinax attachment for the
AS/400/iSeries/??? I'll be happy. OpsConsole will never be installed as
the primary console on any AS/400 I'm in charge of until there is no other
choice. And every CE who visits me will thank me for it.

Really good idea IBM -- use the world's least reliable system to manage
the
most reliable. Pah!

Regards,
Simon Coulter.
