I used to get a freebie magazine (now defunct) that had a wonderful SQL
column by Joe Celko.  Every column had a problem to solve.  Many of the
problems would have been easy to solve in a procedural language, but were
very difficult in SQL. OTOH, some problems are the exact reverse.  It kind
of depends. <g>
