RE: Non-CA400 software for remote site

Pat, you don't need CA.  SLIP will allow you to dial TCP/IP to an RS232
port on the 400 (w/an async modem).  Once the TCP/IP connectivity is
accomplished, then you can run any IP service.  Telnet is just a
service.  Get Mocha's TN5250 emulator.  Once you get SLIP connected,
then just use Mocha to get the the AS400.  It's not too hard to do.

Remember... I don't want to use CA/400... I am pretty sure SLIP was
available under V3R2. Mochasoft might do it, but I have never seen it.

Any other emulators out there ????
