Hi all,

Is there any reason to maintain software subscription for a box, such as the
170 or 720, which can go no further than V5R1.
I'm considering ordering V5 and not renewing my SS for the next year, as
well as advising a few clients on 720s to do the same.

Is there any downside to this, other than the savings?

It was IBM's bright idea to stop the upgrade path, not mine...
Excuse me, IBM said they'd give me $360 trade-up for my 170. Ha!

TIA
