OV is deader than a door nail at V5R1. Although I am not very familiar
with the job scheduler function in OV, my understanding is that it's fairly
rudimentary, which means that the base system support should replace it.

If I am wrong, there is some scheduler support with dependancy requirements
in TAA TOOLs (you need the latest release, and I don't have that specific
info with me - call me if you need it), which is relatively inexpensive.

The JS1 product that IBM ships at great expense (to you) has better
scheduling capabilities (based on dependant actions), at a significantly
greater cost.

Buy that crap from IBM, it will make Lou's retirement bonus even bigger!

We have an application that used to use the OV calendars to schedule jobs.
We moved them to the Job Scheduler because once a year someone had to
extend
them to the next year's calendars. I don't think they can be set up to run
indefinetly in OV. I may be wrong.
