We have extensive spool file selection and download to named files, but it's
a part of our report archiving and web presentation system.

Recently we had a customer ask us for just the selection/download part, and
I wonder if there is a real need for this....

Also, we are considering do a web reports service bureau function for
people - print or ftp your reports to our server, we provide them back over
the web for search, select, reprint, and email.
