The 170's came out in 1998..... The 510 was announced in 1995... was killed a year later with 6XX boxes... The 510 is a killer box but will not run V5R2...... The 170 can be upgraded a dozen different ways and will run V5R2 with no problem.... I have seen many 170's going for well under $4,000. The prices continue to fall....
