We have multiple 400's.

Operations Navigator, Management Central, V5R1 has this great thing to
compare PTF's on two, or more, 400's and then sync the PTF's. However the
propagation only works if the save files for the PTF's exist on the source
machine. If you've put the ptf on using CD's then it can't sync the PTF.
My boss is asking me to put cums and groups on a few weeks in advance on
some less critical 400's before we put them on main production boxes. This
is a reasonable request. However, if we download a few ptf's between
upgrading the development and the production machines then try to sync you
get bazillions of PTF's on the source machine which are not on the target.
Even though the missing/extra pane has the perpetual hourglass you can
still right click on an item and use properties to check for the save file.
Be nice to be able to ship it from there also.

What would really be nice is to be able to sync regardless of the existence
of the save file. Imagine that. Put all your PTF's on one machine and
sync your others up to that. No shipping off of CD's to Timbuktu.
