I've seen that comment somewhere before, but have no idea where any more. Seems 
like there was some truth to it at some time. And perhaps it even provides a 
secondary alternative to the following.

AFAIK, at least at OS/400 V4R4 and later, the only configuration requirement 
that isn't obvious is that (a) the local host table must contain an entry for 
the local IP address and (b) the primary host name on that entry must match the 
host _and_ domain configured in CFGTCP option 12.

I.e., the host table entry for the local IP address must have the host.domain 
name listed first; that name cannot be one of the aliases. A stupid requirement 
but what else is new? It seems I recall that another server (Netserver??) also 
has troubles under some circumstances unless the configuration matches the 
above... maybe faulty memory.
