You might try the ODBC driver from HiT software.  They have a free eval
version at http://www.hitsw.com/.  They have very respectable code, good
performance, and good tech support.  IBM ODBC customers who are not
satisfied often turn to the ODBC driver from HiT.  They will be at the
COMMON Expo in Nashville.
