Can you please be more specific on your hardware platform and the
functionality you require?

I don't remember much in the way of asynchronous modem support on the
S/36.  Most of what we did at the time either involved synchronous
modems or protocol converters.  It's all rather vague, what do you want
to do?

If you're looking for remote terminal access to a real S/36, I would
suggest a twinax terminal emulation product in concert with remote
control software, and then dial into the emulated PC.
