transfer from AS/400 in Linux

Hi all,
i would like to know if there is a way to tranfer data from AS/400 in
Linux environment. Main problem is, that i need this data in cp1250
codepage (Windows-czech) so best solution is to use Client Access for
Win, but ...  I tried to start Client Access for Win transfer via Wine
(Linux windows emulating sw) but it fails when i tried to use cwbconn
for sake of some dll problems. I'm not kind of hacker (:-)) to debug it,
so if there is anyone who has any experience... Otherwise i search for
some linux stuff to handle this problem or if you have any other workaround?
